Job Summary
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and measuring instruments. Candidate may also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools. Please submit your resume today for an immediate interview.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine
- Work from sketches, verbal, and print information in order to produce projects according to specifications
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as: CNC Mills / Lathes, Manual Mills / Lathes, Drill Press, Jig Bore, Sanders, Grinders, and other support equipment
- Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints to insure parts are being made according to specifications
Qualifications and Skills
2-5 years of machining experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches. Ability to hold tight machining tolerances. Experience using micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauge, and outside diameter gauge. Understand various tooling technology and basic math. Job Shop and CNC experience a plus.
