About Manual Tester

What does a Manual Tester do?

As Manual Testers, we are responsible for quality assurance while providing manual testing for software defects. We execute tests for new and already existing software. Generally speaking, we test data and scripts. For this, we design test conditions and test defect lifcycles. Our overall duty is to ensure that the product meets business requirements. Some of us are involved in sprint planning too.

We collaborate with the Technical Manager, Project Manager, and head of QA.

Core tasks:

  • manual testing
  • provide feedback for all product releases
  • estimate outcomes for small and large projects
  • estimate hours required for a project
  • estimate efforts and resources required for a project
  • identify potential issues and their risks
  • document issues
