In San Rafael, California, Marin Academy (familiarly known as MA) is a private college preparatory high school. Marin Academy was founded in 1971 with 16 faculty and a student body of 440, located on the campus that for decades housed the San Rafael Military Academy prior to its closure. One of the Bay Area's competitive private high schools is Marin Academy. Marin Academy accepted only one in four students who applied in the 2015–2016 school year. MA provides students with unique possibilities to ask questions, make connections, and find new approaches. The Marine Academy provides numerous services for employees, such as a wellness program, childcare facilities, employee training and performance bonus.
