What does a Market President do?

In the executive leadership role of Market President, we conceive and implement financial market development plans for a bank. Our primary duty is to plan long-term institutional goals and strategies. What we do is oversee budget-planning, loan growth, and maximization of revenue. Our primary responsibility is to grow the bank’s footprint. Being the image of the bank, we maintain high-quality relationships with important referral sources within the community. We also help bring in new business in order to expand the market presence and awareness. Some of us may be responsible for credit quality, collection functions, marketing efforts, and supervising lenders. As Market Presidents, we collaborate with other executives and employees underneath us. It is also our task to recruit, interview, and select employees.
