I worked in retail for 10 plus years and when i decided to stop working to spend more time with my kids , the opportunity of becoming a Mary Kay beauty consultant was presented to me by a great friend. My why has always been my family and being able to be present in their lives and MAry Kay gave me just that .

This job is great because you make up your own hours. You are your own boss. The downside is that if you are not very aggressive in sales, you don’t make very much profit.

When I signed up for Mary Kay five years ago, I knew that I had to invest in the my Business. I loved doing the in-home presentations. When Covid hit, I was stuck because we couldn’t go in peoples homes. After a while we started learning how to do virtual but it’s tough because I never saw any compensation. What money I made, I had to put right back in

Getting into the company at the ground floor when it was just starting in Canada was a big plus . However the opportunity is still there. Motivation is built right into the company structure. I loved the opportunity to nurture new Consultants and the comrodiere with my customers and the other Sales Directors.
