Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General or MGH) is the original and largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. It is located in the West End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. It is the third oldest general hospital in the United States and has a capacity of 999 beds. Massachusetts General Hospital aims to deliver the very best health care in a safe, compassionate environment; to advance that care through innovative research and education; and, to improve the health and well-being of the diverse communities they serve. The hospital works with developing specialized computer software systems for medical use and provides programming languages used in medical applications.
