Oak Brook, Illinois-based McDonald's franchises and operates fast-food restaurants and supply chains, serving a variety of value-priced menu products around the world. Besides McDonald's belief that delicious food can also be sustainable (for customers, producers and the environment as well), its corporate culture is rooted in global diversity and inclusion, a value proposition where every individual feels their culture, identity, and experiences are valued and respected. McDonald’s is committed to human rights and charity (Founding Mission Partner for RMHC since 1974), and invests in its people by helping them further their education (Archways to Opportunity Program). As 90% of McDonald's restaurants are owned and operated by small-business owners, workers can enjoy all of the support that comes with a large company while working for entrepreneurial small business owners. If you join McDonald's, the company will offer you competitive benefits, flexible schedules, performance-based employee rewards and tuition assistance. McDonald's was launched in 1940 in California with a restaurant opened by brothers Mac and Dick Donald.

I felt very unappreciated and taken advantage of as I have been a manager at many restaurants. The manager here doesn’t know how to speak to people and treats everyone like they are disposable no matter how hard you work for them… she doesn’t need her position honestly

McDonald's was my first job that I have worked in since I had no experience. I know that I should be greatful for having the job which I am since I have stayed there for the rough 5 years straight. If I had to tell myself where to work for first timers, it should NOT be McDonald's. McDonald's always have the worst crews, unhygienic, unsanitary environment, and foul mouth. I understood why EVERY customer would treat each coworker with disrespect. Not only that, the crew members, especially the managers are always stealing, favoritism, blackmailing, and all the other harmful things you can think of. The reason why I stayed there working for years is because McDonald's do have flexible hours and only if you chat with the managers for multiple times until they accept it. Overall McDonald's is the "Don't Recommend" unless you have criminal records and no one is hiring you.

Pros and Cons
free meal, 50% family discount, flexible schedule
disrespectful, no training, rude customers, unhygienic environment, no locker

Honestly one of my more enjoyable careers to say the least, the coworkers are friendly and willing to help out and the majority of managers know what they're doing, though there sadly was an incident that resulted in me losing good faith in the higher ups as an incident occurred in which an employee had been taking unwarranted photos of me during work hours, when bringing this to the multiple managers attention it seemed that little to no one was going to do anything about it, even when asking for a different schedule I still saw him the next day I worked, I also believe I haven't been paid for the time I did work until my departure so there's that as well, ultimately the scum is still working there and I'm looking for a new job, thank you McDonalds, I cried to sleep for a week

I personally left the company due to personal reasons due to work/life balance was not there for me. I lived an hour away and the current restaurant I was working at needed more time and attention I could give. Work/home life was being affected and I chose to look for something closer to home. Mr. Palacios is a very good boss to work for and my heart was torn to leave because you don’t always find bosses with the same core values as your self in this world today. If someone is looking for a job in the fast food industry and you are in the area of Cantrell, 12th St, Mid-Town, Otter Creek, Alcoa, Bryant, Benton or Haskell, AR I would definitely recommend applying to work at any 8 of these restaurants that Mr. Palacios is the owner operator of!!!

The only breaks would be a thirty minute lunch break that wasn’t even peaceful because there was no room separate from everything else going on. If you wanted to get away from all the haste for those short thirty minutes you’d have to eat in the lobby or outside. I kept asking to change my schedule so I could have a more balanced life but the managers kept telling me they have to hire more people first (which I knew was going to take forever). When a shitty person threw her drink at me for absolutely no reason and I told the manager she did nothing about it. I left when the supervisor sold fly infested cheese (yes, she knew about it) to customers.

Pros and Cons
Yes there is free lunch but it must be under $15. That’s it.

I started working at McDonald’s when I was 16. One of my managers had a crush on all the boys and sold drugs to them. The other manager watched a girl accidentally burn her hand with boiling hot water and didn’t help at all. If the manager’s wanna be messy and entertain the drama the be petty with your hours and the let me run that hoe and I turned it up frr🫶🏾

Pros and Cons
Free lunch, fat checks
Unnecessary Drama, ignorant management and disrespectful customers

Pure genuine chaos. Worked there for a little over a year, no one ever recognized my hard work, dropped my entire life for the job, went 100% everyday. Gave it my all, and I was good. So much heat, so much anger and anxiety in the air. Unprofessional higher ups such as the managers. They contributed and created stupid dramas. And then some new corporate girl who looked like a fat ellen started firing all the employees, clean the house. Lots of horrible horrible memories that bring me down to this day, I can still hear the machines when I sleep. God make it stop, its been 3 years.
