Mechanic II – Plant Operations
Since 1973, Houston Northwest Medical Center offering 423 licensed bedshas been providing comprehensive healthcare to the North Houston communities.The hospital is known for its maternity and women’s services, including a LevelII Neonatal ICU, and for its cardiac care as well as bariatric and diabetesprograms. In addition to its hospital emergency room, Houston North WestMedical Center operates two urgent care centers
Houston Northwest MedicalCenter is currently accepting applications for Mechanic II Position – Plant Operations Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC equipment, exhaust systems, building automation systems on the hospital campus.
- Plan, coordinate, and provide hands on skills for minor alterations and construction not requiring city or state permits.
- Perform or manage comprehensive ground repairs.
- Perform testing and operation of Emergency Power system (Generator testing)
- Perform testing of fire pump.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 3 years previous experience in healthcare maintenance setting or 5 years in a commercial building.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, building automation systems, and customer service skills.
- Strong Knowledge of Emergency Generators and fire code.

- Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
