About Mechanical Engineer

What does a Mechanical Engineer do?

As Mechanical Engineers, we plan, design, develop, test, and evaluate the mechanical devices and systems for an engineering company. The tools under our supervision include machines, equipment, and complex engines. We work in a variety of diverse industries in assisting with the production of different products. Assisting in research, manufacturing, and development are our duties. We also analyze, recommend, and test the specifications of the equipment. We work in collaboration with the engineering team and report to our seniors and project managers.

Core tasks:

  • plan, discuss and develop mechanical designs for novel products
  • introduce testing processes, and accomplish testing and implementation of new designs
  • create function prototypes for beta testing and client demo
  • accomplish engineering functions to support designs
  • coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors
