About Mechanical Engineering Manager

What does a Mechanical Engineering Manager do?

As Mechanical Engineering Managers, we are responsible for the overall management of the mechanical engineering department, including administrative and technical perspectives. We act as lead engineers and work under the supervision of a project engineer. We handle mechanical engineering activities and document control staff. We hire engineers as per needs and support mechanical engineers, designers, and drafters. Reviewing mechanical engineering staff performance and informing technical staff of division and engineering goals is part of our daily responsibilities. We handle engineering tools and upgrades. Working as Mechanical Engineering Managers, we check mechanical engineering deliverables of the PD process and ensure achievement of quality standards.

Core tasks:

  • monitor mechanical designs
  • support methodical root cause analysis
  • develop required infrastructure to ensure mechanical engineering competency
