About Mechanical Project Engineer

What does a Mechanical Project Engineer do?

As Mechanical Project Engineers, we assist in the coordination and activities of the mechanical engineering arm of a company. As Mechanical Project Engineers, we are responsible for coordinating production staff members, and planning and developing engineering structures. We are also tasked with building prototypes and executing quality assurance tests. Maintaining relationships with clients and vendors is also our everyday job. Working cross-functionally with several teams, we report to project managers and other upper-level staff.

Core tasks:

  • analyze specifications and requirements of a project and developing work schedules
  • delegating tasks to the right teams
  • complete blueprint designs with the help of CAD software and review them
  • ensure that all activities are in keeping with the safety and health regulations
  • supervise team members and make the best recommendations for enhancement
