About Medical Assistant

What does a Medical Assistant do?

We, the medical assistants, are responsible for each and everything from management work to patients and physician provision tasks at hospitals, doctor offices, medical clinics, and other establishments. We provide a range of practical, clerical, receptionist, and patient care services. We ensure that the patient’s health runs smoothly. Our duties include clinical and directorial tasks including maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for inspection, performing front desk duties, and all related duties. We usually work in physician’s cabins, hospitals, and other healthcare units and establishments.

Core tasks:

  • writing and managing patient’s medical histories, vitals, tests, and results.
  • preparing treatment rooms for clinical investigation.
  • monitoring medications of patients.
  • maintaining patient’s medical record.
