What does a Medical Interpreter do?

As Medical Interpreters, we interpret and translate complex medical information to patients who speak a foreign language while liaising between doctors, nurses, medical staff, and patients. We also translate a wide range of medical information such as medical conditions, follow-up appointment details, billing, treatment options, and insurance while accompanying patients to doctor visits and provide drug and medical allergy information.

Core tasks:

  • translate various medical documents such as books, lectures, and slides
  • assist patients with understanding and adequately filling out paperwork
