As Medical Receptionists, we are responsible for greeting patients and scheduling their appointments by providing complete follow-up. We answer phone calls and listen to patients competently and courteously. Collecting co-payments and unpaid balances are also a part of our duty. We contact the patient and physician by checking in patients either in person or over the phone. We keep the reception area tidy and coordinated at the start of each working day. Working as Medical Receptionists, we are responsible for maintaining absolute confidentiality of patient's data. We also assist nursing personnel with administrative duties if needed. Finally, we make and update appointments in the electronic medical information system.
