What does a Medicare Sales Executive do?

As Medicare sales executives, we work for organizations offering healthcare insurance. We are responsible for selling Medicare and other ancillary insurance products to customers. We may be required to reach out to prospective customers by cold-calling or we may only respond to leads provided to us. Using our expertise in Medicare policies and procedures, we assist eligible individuals in selecting the appropriate plan for them and generate enrollments. Our performance is measured against set targets.

Core tasks:

  • promote Medicare plans through various sales methods (outside sales, telemarketing, etc.)
  • identifying prospective enrollees
  • determining eligibility
  • performing enrollment and disenrollment
