I was with Medtronic for 15 years having responsibilities ranging from Sales and analysis to onboarding and retention. Medtronic diabetes is just one business unit of many within the company. They have a strong culture of supporting diversity and inclusion with solid company benefits. My department was consolidated as part of a organizational restructure. I certainly felt like the work I engaged with patients had a positive impact on their diabetes management. You have to own your own growth within the company as I did not receive much support in this area.

Medtronic at Tempe AZ really supports their employees. Has a great work environment, team environment, and great management. Benefits are great. Employees really take pride in manufacturing such valuable products for customers.

Sometimes long work weeks when you are in a manufacturing support role.

This employer had a way of misrepresenting employee positions. I originally applied for assembly position and was placed in packaging and shipping. A skill not listed on my resume. 12 hour shifts and extremely labor intensive. Hated working there.

I worked at Medtronic for over twenty years. Benefits are great. This is not your typical 9-5 job. Constant training is paramount for everyone from the shipping personnel to the site manager.
Pros and Cons
Good benefits, and the products they product are life changing/and or life saving.
Constant training and upgrading of skills required.

Management is all about themselves. They do not care about the employees. Management and HR only care about getting paid. They will not help you if you have an issue and all the management stick together with HR. So if you work on the shop floor running a machine, no one will listen to your issues. Instead they turn things around and blame you for the issue, instead of looking into what you are telling them. Then they will go after you to get you fired. It is an unfair place to work!!!!!!

It was such a nice environment, the only negative is the they don't speak English only Tagalog and when it comes to do a task you have to wonder because the leads and coworkers speak in a foreign language. Other than that love working there.
