As a Planning and Distribution Analyst Co-op --you will work collaboratively and independently with highly qualified supply chain professionals who are responsible for managing planning and distribution of Mercury Marine service and reman parts for the recreational boating industry. You will become an integral member of a service and marine parts team committed to delivering superior results. You'll learn how to work with a team of supply chain professionals, in an office environment, as you own and manage assigned responsibilities from inception to completion. You will:
Coordinate and ensure alignment of worldwide inventory planning, execution, and deployment of Parts & Accessories parts.
Align supply chain, sourcing, and packaging activities with new product build and release schedules.
Liaison between sourcing activities required in decision for new or production components.
Analyze inventory levels and modify planning as required to insure service and production schedules within established inventory policies.
Manage Bill of Material (BOM) transitions, supersession maintenance, and sourcing resources projects
Responsible for material flow from time of receipt to put away to point of sale
Manage inter-plant shipping process, allocation to distribution centers, and further process parts.
Coordinate manual supply chain rebalancing and forecast revisions for over-consumption.
Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities
Initiate corrective actions and make necessary adjustments with interplant and internally sourced kits regarding replacements, incomplete orders, damaged product or unsatisfactory service. In addition to a great hands-on learning experience you will also acquire the skills needed to:
Gain confidence in your ability to influence people and manage potentially contentious situations to a positive result
Act as a liaison to all areas of the organization while you drive execution within the supply base

Who are we looking for?
Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Finance
Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits
Availability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) through a full co-op term running January to August 2018 or June to December 2018
The ability to enroll in a formalized co-op Program through your university
