Miami University was founded in 1809 in Oxford, Ohio with its main campus in Oxford and its regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown. It is affiliated as an Ohio public university and reflects the history of the Native American tribe who once lived in the Miami Valley region of Ohio. The university is the second oldest university in Ohio and the 10th oldest public university in the United State Miami offers bachelor’s degree in over 120 areas of study on the Oxford campus and the graduate students are chosen from more than 70 master’s and doctoral degree programs. Among Ohio public universities, it ranked number 1 and number 49 nationally for return on investment by Payscale.com. According to U.S. News and World Report it is ranked No. 1 among top quality national universities for operating efficiency. It is well known for its liberal arts education within its 8 schools and colleges in architecture, business, engineering, humanities and the sciences. The goal of the university is to create a diverse and inclusive culture.
