The Minneapolis College of Arts and Design envisions the transformation of the world through determination and artistic creativity. The mission of the College is to educate candidates to be artists, designers, thinkers, and determined citizens. The College was established in 1883 to raise awareness about the subject of the fine arts through exhibitions and learning through instruction and teaching. Aside from learning and classroom activities, the college offers students a vibrant atmosphere with dining, entertainment, and on-campus housing facilities keeping the students entertained and connected. Presently, the college houses about 800 students from twenty-nine states of the US, and thirteen countries. The degrees offered in various areas of study by the College are undergraduate and graduate degrees; continuing education; certificate; online learning; youth programs, and free lectures and exhibitions.
