Mobile County Public School System

School Counselors wear many hats in the school system. All hats off to them. There are a multitude of responsibilities from being the contact and reporter for child abuse to functioning in an administrative role. At the same time Counelors have to prepare lesson plans and document plans for groups and other counselor related duties. You have to truly love what you do. A counselor’s work is never done. She/He does not rest in the Summer, but meticulously prepare for the upcoming school year!

I began my teaching experience as a substitute teacher, while i was finishing my bachelor degree at the University of Mobile. When i had enough college credits I was hired full time as a teachers aide, working with students with disabilities. It was very fulfilling and rewarding , and I enjoyed my students very much. It also helped give me the experience I needed for being the lead teacher in my own classroom.

If I moved back to Mobile I would go back to Mobile County Public School System to work. I had a great experience and absolutely loved the people I worked with.
