About Mortgage Banker

What does a Mortgage Banker do?

As Mortgage Bankers, we accomplish loan production goals by initiating sales calls, conducting presentations, participating in networking activities, and other sales techniques. We utilize referral sources to create sales opportunities, solidifying relationships with bank partners, and enhancing the referral process for all involved parties. We also interview applicants to assess their needs, evaluate their financial position, and identify appropriate product offerings. We facilitate loan processing, prequalify applicants, and obtain all required documents to submit a completed application. We manage the progression of loans throughout the loan process while ensuring its adherence to regulatory and corporate guidelines.

Core tasks:

  • follow up on all necessary conditions or stipulation per investor and company’s requirements
  • establish a good rapport with clients to identify their business needs and leverage sales opportunities
  • build and maintain a strong network with internal and external referral sources
