Motorola Solutions is an American data communications and telecommunications equipment provider that succeeded Motorola in 2011. The company was founded on January 4, 2011 and based out in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The main products manufactured in Motorola Solutions are Command Center Software and Video security and analytics, Mission - critical communications equipment and support services. The company is the legal successor of the old Motorola which was founded in 1928. Motorola Solutions produces two-way radios and public radio systems for the first responders and law enforcement. Motorola Solutions sold its enterprise business to Zebra Technologies on October 27, 2014 for $3.45 billion in cash. The company serves almost 18,000 employees wherein 4,500 Motorola Solutions employees from locations throughout the world were moved to Zebra as part of the sale. Motorola also manufactures push to talk LTE devices. Motorola solutions acquired Avigilon for about $ 1 billion in March 2018.
