Based in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Mount St. Mary’s University is a private liberal art, Catholic university located in the Catoctin Mountains near historic Emmitsburg, Maryland. The university has a satellite campus Fredrick, Maryland’s second-largest city, for adult students. The university’s program offerings include 80 minors, majors, concentrations, as well as special programs for traditional undergrad students, and also more than 25 adult undergraduate and graduate-level program offerings. The university’s main campus at Emmitsburg is home to over 40 academic programs, Division I Athletics, and an award-winning student life program. The campus is easily accessible from both Baltimore and Washington D.C. Most classes at the university are offered in an accelerated mode in the evenings, one night a week for 8-week sessions.
