Mystic Seaport Museum is a maritime museum, was founded in 1929, located in Mystic, CT, United States. The museum preserves the disappearing artifact of American seafaring. The Museum has 41,000 square-foot Collections Research Center. It offers exceptional physical and electronic access to more than 2 million artifacts. The collections range from marine paintings, scrimshaw, models, tools, ships plans, an oral history archive, extensive film, and video recordings are more than 1 million. Mystic Seaport Museum offers a comprehensive benefits package for regular full-time staff, includes medical and dental insurance, life insurance, supplemental life insurance, and a 403 pension plan. The museum strives to ensure a continuing flow of qualified applicants and offer all job openings in its weekly staff bulletin, local newspapers, at the Connecticut Department of Labor, in museum trade publications, in the Northeast Minority News newspaper, and on designated internet sites.
