**DESCRIPTION:**

The National Account Manager position is responsible for selling the entire Adult and Children's Distributed Client lists to Walmart, Costco, Sams, BJs, and Airports. In this position, the National Account Manager is required to work with our Client Publishers to sell in all appropriate titles, book promotions, and keep estimates and coop info updated in our system. They must review weekly sales and work with Client Publishers to manage replenishment as required by type of placement. The Account Manager must provide up front guidance as well as regular ongoing feedback on titles as appropriate using Sales Conference, Sales Call Prep meetings, Post Sales Call notes, Forsyte Comments, or account/channel review meetings with their manager and the client publishers. The sales manager must create and maintain strong relationships with the Buying and Marketing Staff and each of the above accounts and create and maintain strong relationships with each of our Distribution Clients. This role requires Sales calls as appropriate by the given retail customer and must work closely with the Account Managers who call on the servicing wholesaler.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

* 3-5 years of prior sales experience within the publishing industry is required preferably with the Mass, Club or nontraditional retailer environment.

* Exceptional interpersonal skills needed with the ability to effectively communicate with varied personalities at the account as well as all levels of management and our client publishers

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously while attending to details and deadlines

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

* Forward thinking, energetic, problem solver with focused relationship building skills

* Passionate, dedicated Account Manager
