During my time recruiting here in Albany, Ga it has been a different but great experience. From meeting different applicants and getting in the community was fun. I have helped encourage and enlisted many men and women into the navy. To hear their sucess stories from bootcamp and how everything has been going for them has been a true blessing. I have grown in many way and one of the most important one was communicating with so many different people. I'm glad I joined the Navy so that I could have this opportunity to do something different.

Pros and Cons
Meet diferent people on a daily base. Helping change people lives for the better.
Sometimes dealing with troubled people.

The rates in the Navy, like any job, has responsibilities for its specific title. Unlike every other 9-5, it lasts for upwards of 10 hour days, and has several risk factors that put ypu and your servicemembers at risk. Attention to detail and self awareness is crucial to surviving. Networking within your command with other sailors will benefit you in the long run. Never push off your esws and finish your tasks as swiftly as possiblewhile you can. Everything can go wrong too quick.

Pros and Cons
Health care benedits, housing and resources at your disposal
Lots of long hours, dangerous situations imminent, some poor quality co workers.

Not saying everyone’s experience is bad but mine was. I dealt with a lot while in the navy. The 2 ships I was on had favorites and everyone knew it… if u aren’t a favorite then have fun and good luck cause u will have a hard time getting decent evals and u will probably get in trouble for every little thing u do. On my first ship ppl didn’t like me so much that I was doubled up on topside rover almost every duty day. It got so bad that my hip was hurting and couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs. I went to my duty section leadership and asked for a break here and there cause my hip was hurting every time I had the equipment on. They refused so I had to go to medical. It was on my first ship that I had a very bad panic attack and I’ve never had them before the navy or even before getting on that ship. Eventually I left that ship and for some reason I am still a hot topic to start rumors about. No more space to write :(

Pros and Cons
Free college
Working hours, many underways, food, leadership, treatment of E-4 and below, morale, favoritism, etc

In Old navy frist time work I remember was on June 23 2019. at this day is my first day work day the manager help looking for a partner teach me the work experience and at different workplace will had different partner teach me different job experience the example at the cashier area the partner will teach me how can collect money and change the money and how to serve guests if in sales area the partner will teach how can organize clothes and how to serve the guests if in the cashier area we need smile at the guests if in the sales area we need will see the guests need the what serve and frist time go to ask they what can I help you. Lastly, if in the old navy did the work you did not understand, ask the lead and if in the work time I do the mistake the colleagues will help me and teach me different work experience or skill so I think the Old Navy is a good workplace.

Pros and Cons
I think the work people is very friendly

The military teaches you structure. Subarines teach you resilience. Nuclear engineering teaches you discipline. The day to day is hard, and the benefits of serving are not readily apparent until after you separate. That being said, the community is a brotherhood, and the benefits post military are exceptional.

Pros and Cons
Everything is provided for yoy
No family contact for extended periods of time. Promotions are mostly based on time in service
