The primary business of Netflix is its subscription based streaming service which serves online streaming of a library of films and TV Series. The monthly subscription concept of Netflix was introduced in September, 1999. On May 29, 2002 Netflix started an initial public offering selling 5.5 million shares of common stock at the price of US 15.00 dollars per share.
