What does a Network Management Specialist do?

As Network Management Specialists, we work in the computer management industry and handle network systems for a company. We are responsible for managing networks throughout an organization's system. We deal with tools such as Cisco products and services, and other related software. Working in collaboration with the network support team, we maintain a wide area of networks. We ensure system stability and reliability by monitoring network hardware and software. We install, configure, analyze, maintain equipment and prepare documentation, and train users.

Core tasks:

  • working for fault identification and prevention
  • assist in performance management of the network
  • assist in network provisioning
  • maintaining QoS, software, and hardware for networks
  • maintain network security, install and upgrade tools
