Description

As Network Security Specialists, we respond to the procurement, set up, and maintenance of hardware and software systems designed to ensure network security. We perform the task as assigned by the network and security administrator. We assist with planning and implementing all security-related functions for computer and network systems.

Core tasks:

  • providing application support regarding firewalls, routing, and unified communications systems
  • monitoring the network to ensure optimal performance and providing day-to-day support
  • evaluating and recommending security improvements and system upgrades
  • troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics
