About Network Technician

What does a Network Technician do?

As Network Technicians, we build and maintain an organization's computer networks. We check network performance, troubleshoot problems, and install hardware and software. We maintain network systems' digital security. We communicate with the clients and recommend suitable network systems and connected devices. Finally, we configure and resolve conflicts among various hardware such as network adapters. As Network Technicians, we are the core actors in maintaining an effective and efficient network system in an organization.

Core tasks:

  • designing and building computer networks
  • troubleshooting issues with computer networks to ensure their proper functioning
  • evaluating the performance of a network and configure hardware and devices
  • securing information to cut data loss and provide regular data backups
