A public Research University, New Jersey Institute of Technology is located in Newark, New Jersey, offering more than 125 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in six specialized schools taught by skilled instructors. NJIT is a historic university that was established in 1881, originally introduced from Essex County. The campus is spread out over 48 acres of land including all the departments under one roof sheltering and fulfilling the academic needs of 11,518 students divided into 8,794 undergraduates and 2,724 postgraduates. To instruct the students the academic staff is numbered at 861 employees distributed among a wide array of departments to provide the most efficient and best in class services to the students.
