Find your future with us. Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a senior Industrial Engineer to support the development of our future New Mid-Market Airplane (NMA). Job Responsibilities Develops, integrates, and improves Boeing's new production system. Carries out process standardization, documentation, mapping, implementation, control, and improvement. Creates factory layouts, process & data modeling, and develops simulations. Conducts pre-production analyses on capacity, constraints/precedence, tooling, equipment, labor, hours, and Technical Performance Measures. Performs work measurement, time studies, and work statement analysis. Conducts Supply chain and logistics analysis. Carries out scheduling and project management functions. Limited travel to other local sites for observations and bench marking. This is a union represented position. This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22. C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Minimum of 3 years experience in Industrial Engineering role. Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Experience in Industrial Engineering in a manufacturing environment. Experience with rate and capacity planning. Experience in engineering modeling and/or analysis with computer programming of analytical models, simulations, and/or data processing. Experience in Production Engineering and/or Production System Design. Experience in 6 or more of the following: Process Modeling, Manufacturing Operations Support, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical/Trend Analysis, Six Sigma, Capacity Planning, Production/Mfg System Design, Work Methods Analysis/Time Standards, Planning/Constraint Based Scheduling, Ergonomics & Human Factors, Facilities Layout Design, Root Cause Analysis, Inventory Control, Value Stream Analysis. Must be able to interact with employees to gather data for process improvements. This may include observing and documenting processes, and collecting data in manufacturing areas or in aircraft during various production phases. Candidate may be in proximity to chemicals when observing/gathering data in an area in the factory where chemicals are in use. Typical Education/Experience Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
