About NOC Technician

What does a NOC Technician do?

As NOC Technicians, we are involving ourselves in the preventative maintenance of all networking components for different organizations. If there is any issue in networking system, we need to repair and replace routers, switches so that everything goes smoothly. We have to configure new servers and run tests before implementing when it requires. Also, we are responsible to upgrade hardware and software to run the network system without any interruption. There may be disruption due to power outage or failures. Maintaining field technician schedules and assisting technicians over phone calls are also the responsibilities of a NOC Technician.

Core tasks:

  • observing the preventive maintenance of all networking equipments
  • repairing and replacing faulty routers, switches
  • upgrading hardware and software if they need
  • scheduling maintenance field technician and assisting over phone calls
