Northern Illinois University (NIU) was founded in 1895. Headquarters at DeKalb, IL, NIU provides 100 plus study programs in 42 schools and departments within seven colleges. The university has an exciting learning environment with 37 nationally recognized licensure programs, keeping its teachers ready for changing needs and prepares students for the vital service regions. As a student centred research university NIU’s Division of Research and Innovation encourages students in the fields of research, artistry and entrepreneurship within the campus.
