In my experience management can be unreasonable and unfair. It depends on which department you get into but Northwell is not as great as they crack up to be. They need more diversity and compassion training, not people who power trip.

I gained a lot of wisdom and knowledge by working as a staff nurse at northwell for 2 years. And all of the knowledge that I acquired I was able to use that as a foundation for my future nursing practice.

I worked at North Shore Manhasset as a Patient Care Associate for seven years and I was able to gain experience while studying to become a RN.

I was hired and fired for no reason. I was told that I will be let go because of no reason on my part, no work.

Nepotism is rampant at this particular location. People are put in positions that they are not suited for and leadership meddles in areas that they are not completely knowledgeable about. Organization as a whole is growing too quickly and the infrastructure is struggling to keep up. As an employee, you receive mixed messages and you feel like a pawn in political battles between senior leaders.

The best place to work. The management are trained , kind, educated, professional and a cultural diversity population, warm environment and the best benefits

Being an intern at Northwell was a great experience, and helped me better understand what a Human Resources position is like.
