Working as Nuclear Security Officers, we control the entry processing of all individuals into protected areas of the plant. We verify identity and authorization to enter the vital areas. It is our duty to conduct personnel and vehicle searches. We respond to intrusion alarms as directed by the security officer on patrol or as the response team leader. We deter attempts by unauthorized persons seeking to gain entry into protected areas of the plant. Making scheduled and unscheduled patrols of the protected areas is a part of our job. We report all observed security and safety violations. We also keep a record of patrols. It is our responsibility to secure and assist at accidents and similar incidents until relieved.
