The Oregon State Hospital, a division of the Oregon Health Authority , has a fantastic opportunity for a NURSE MANAGER to join an excellent team working to help people recover from their illness and return to their lives in the community.
What you will do!
You will supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of staff working on your shift , as well as, assigned Relief Pool staff. You'll work in collaboration with unit and program management to establish and operationalize policies, procedures and protocols to guide patient care/treatment and maintain compliance with state and federal law as well applicable regulatory and accrediting agency standards. You'll also work collaboratively with the Centralized Staffing Office to assure delivery of the highest quality mental health treatment and care consistent with resources available.

This posting will be used to fill one (1) permanent, full-time position located in Salem, OR (2600 Center St. NE). This position is classified as Management Service and is not represented by a union.
The program focus of this position is Archways and Crossroads. The schedule for this position is: 12-hour day shifts with one 8-hour shift every other week. Normal shifts are Saturday/Sunday/Monday 0730-2000. Every other Tuesday 0730-1600.

What we are looking for:
At the time of application, possess a valid Oregon Registered Professional Nurse's license AND t hree years of nursing experience including some supervisory and/or teaching experience which demonstrates knowledge of:
Nursing techniques and therapeutic intervention used in care and treatment of patients with mental illness
Supervisory techniques and work management of subordinate personnel
Administrative and educational principles and practices involved in nursing administration
Excellent leadership, role modeling, problem solving and written/verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge of health care regulations and effective interpersonal skills
Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations
