About Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist

What does a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist do?

As Nurse Practitioner Hospitalists, we are responsible for providing primary care to the hospitalized patients. We provide an examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. We also ensure follow-up under the supervision of physicians. Building working relations with medical staff for consultation and collaboration is also part of our duty. We record and update patient's medical histories. We also ensure the confidentiality of records. Working as Nurse Practitioner Hospitalists, we are responsible for documenting all medical evaluations and treatment outcomes. We make referrals to coordinate patient's care. Finally, we also educate patients and their families about preventive measures and treatment plans.
