JOB SUMMARY Works collaboratively with dedicated and caring hospitalist physician group to provide evaluation and treatment of patients in an established hospitalist program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES# ##Patient admissions, completing progress notes, patient education, prescribing medications, order diagnostic tests, and recommending therapeutic interventions. ##Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician. ##Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient#s clinical problems and health care needs. ##Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient#s condition. ## ##Discusses case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. ##Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by Physician. ##Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. ##Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. EDUCATION # EXPERIENCE# Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Meets the requirements determined by the State of IL or WI to perform duties defined as those of a Nurse Practitioner Minimum of two years# experience with Mercyhealth Hospitalist Department CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Licensed as an RN in state of practice# Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in state of practice################# Approved CPR or BLS certification required ACLS required ########### ### ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Passing the Driver#s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring). Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check. Must be able to follow written/oral instructions. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Meets the requirements determined by the State of IL or WI to perform duties defined as those of a Nurse Practitioner

Minimum of two years' experience with Mercyhealth Hospitalist Department

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Licensed as an RN in state of practice
