About Nurse Technician

What does a Nurse Technician do?

As Nurse Technicians, we are responsible for providing basic patient care. We perform routine treatment procedures and contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. We ensure compliance with the hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. We assist nursing staff in complicated treatment procedures and take and record vital signs, including temperature, weight, height, and blood pressure. Collecting, labeling, and transporting specimens is part of our daily responsibilities. We transport equipment, supplies, and charts. We make rounds, handle patient requests, and report changes in patient’s conditions. Working as Nurse Technicians, we monitor patient’s behavior and perform basic patient and family assistance tasks.

Core tasks:

  • assist and accompany patients
  • prepare patients for meals and assist them as required
  • maintain a safe and comfortable environment
