It was established in 1946 and has since been educating several students in West Texas. This college serves the people of Ector County and around 5,000 students have been enrolled currently in its various courses like technical and university-parallel related subjects. 11,000 students are enrolled annually in its Community Recreation, Basic and Continuing Education. This public university is situated in Odessa, Texas and the location is ideal for students who are attracted towards and find joy in city life. A total of 5,803 are enrolled in this public college.W.E “Pete” Snelson, the vice-president after retirement served in both houses of the Texas State Legislature from Midland.
