Office Associate II (19-65) Bangor, Maine, United States Full-time Maine Department of Transportation Salary: $13.78 - $19.30 / Hourly Job Code: 6542 Pay Grade: 13 (Administrative) Office/Bureau: Maintenance and Operations Location: Bangor Bulletin Number: 19-65 Position #: 02500-0398 Opening Date: May 30, 2019 Closing Date: June 13, 2019 JOB DESCRIPTION This position will be responsible for operating, and answering the telephone, taking customer calls, assisting and directing their calls to appropriate personnel, and assisting/directing visitors that enter the building. This position will have the ability to accurately enter data into various agency computer systems. Will process posted roads, invoices, expense accounts, business letters, memos, reports, and back up on access management, as well as other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Entry level knowledges, skills, and/or abilities may be acquired through, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO the following coursework/training and/or experience.) Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, and Office Associate I. LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (These must be met by all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class.) Some positions may require possession of a valid Class B Maine Motor Vehicle Operators License. The value of State-paid Dental Insurance: $13.13 biweekly. The value*of State paid Health Insurance: Level 1: 100% State Contribution (employee pays nothing): $444.68 biweekly Level 2: 95% State Contribution (employee pays 5%): $422.45 biweekly Level 3: 90% State Contribution (employee pays 10%): $400.21 biweekly Level 4: 85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%): $377.98 biweekly *The level of the actual value of state paid Health Insurance will be based on the employee’s wage rate and status with regard to the health credit premium program. TASKS

  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers.
