Management has created a toxic work environment on the unit. It is similiar to a junior high school mean girls situation, that bully a person until they quit. Then they select a new victim. There is NO team work, opportunities for growth or support, you will be worked to death unless your the manager. Everybody knows your business as Gossip is the norm and promoted by management. Make sure you Never ask questions or tell management they have no idea what they are talking about. This will put a giant target on your back. Just dont bother to apply. The gross incompetence is Scary!

Pros and Cons
The lower level non-management staff were nice.
To many to name on this unit.

I worked at Ohio Health for over 16 years as an Nurse. I saw many changes. I worked in many diverse areas and grew as a clinician. I still have many friends at Ohio Health. The problem with Ohio Health is the poor decision making by so-called leadership in hiring managers. Managers hired are often promoted because they have been with the company the longest. What I have noted is that authority goes to people's head, and they lose touch with the small things in work life, such as courtesy and caring to reach their bottom line. My life was miserable when I went to hospice and Ohio Health hired a nurse manager from outside the organization. She not only let the small bit of power go to her head, she believed she needed to move ahead by stepping on people along the way. her true character came out, and she was cruel, focused on the negative and felt she was above the team. After I left, she was fired months later. Leadership was told about her, but it was on deaf ear.

Is a great company but the toxicity of certain departments is too much. I think management should be chosen from outside and not within.

Pros and Cons
Free lunch
Not much diversity
