About Online Tutor

What does an Online Tutor do?

As Online Tutors, we are responsible for answering student questions related to the course content and resolve technical or connectivity issues. We have to reply to student messages and respond to messages from peers and school administrators. We grade student assignments and tests. We have to assess student progress and suggest program or curriculum improvements to school administrators and maintain required records.

Core tasks:

  • assessing, teaching and support learners online and use email, discussion forums, audio and video conferencing to communicate with learners
  • developing an online relationship with learners and preparing and assess online assignments
  • providing feedback and answers to learners’ questions and building learners’ confidence and independence
  • designing preparatory materials, course and activities and delivering and coordinating small group activities, for example online tutorials
