About Operational Risk Manager

What does an Operational Risk Manager do?

In the role of Operational Risk Officer, we work directly with the Head of Risk to develop and maintain an Operational Risk Management program. We also monitor reports and risk metrics. Assisting in the Process Risk Assessment to develop the Annual Plan is our job. We coordinate risk control self-assessments across various areas. We perform trend analysis of risk events, and audit and examination findings. It is our responsibility to develop written reports and investigate risk events. We identify operational risks by way of internal system failures. We implement operational risk controls. Creating analytical tools and comprehensive reports to measure and quantify risk exposure is our duty.

Core tasks:

  • ensure the escalation of operational risk metrics to risk staff and senior management
  • provide high-level risk forecast report
  • mitigate potential losses across multiple business areas
  • adapt to current developments in operational risk management
  • report operational information to internal and external stakeholders
  • oversee the operational risk management team
