Job Description Southeast Toyota's Industrial Engineering department has immediate temporary part time openings at our Vehicle Processing Centers in Commerce, GA and Jacksonville FL . The student intern will assist the team in a variety of functions over a term of several months. This will include, but is not limited to: Time and motion studies to develop labor standards for production activities. Participate in Process Mapping and data collection in a production environment Participate in Kaizen Events and Gemba Walks under the direction of the IE Dept Work closely with 5S teams to improve workplace organization and waste reduction. Perform ergonomic assessments and develop recommendations for various work tasks. Adhere to safety and quality policy and procedures and support site compliance objectives. Other projects or duties assigned by manager. Our Vehicle Processing Center\u2019s core hours are Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am - 2:15 pm. Our ideal candidate will be local to Commerce or Jacksonville and commit to working part time during these hours; flexible hours can be structured to accommodate the candidate\u2019s class schedule. The length of the internship will be based on volume of work, intern\u2019s successful performance and continuous needs of our Operation. Job Requirements Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program; freshman, sophomore and junior students preferred. STEM students or students with focus in Industrial or Manufacturing preferred but not required. Experience and/or completed coursework related to time & motion studies. Microsoft Excel experience with data entry and basic macro development desired Microsoft PowerPoint experience developing and delivering presentations Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Self motivated, organized and able manage multiple priorities and projects effectively. Ability to work under time constraints and manage complexity effectively Excellent interpersonal skills, including highly effective verbal and written communication skills FL candidates only - Ability to travel between business locations in Jacksonville, FL (requiring a personal vehicle) as needed. Flexibility to work non-standard schedules based on business location needs due to varying schedules.
