Vineyard Cincinnati is a non-denominational church with an approximate weekly attendance of 5,500 adults at our main location in Tri-County. We also have a site in Eastgate and a Spanish-speaking site called La Viña. Over the years we have been noted for acts of kindness, including giving away groceries and holding free car washes as part of our ministry. One way we serve Greater Cincinnati is through the Healing Center, a safe place on our campus providing "help for the whole person"​ through forty different services. MINISTRY COORDINATOR, OUTREACH

FULL-TIME

This position is responsible for advancing the Outreach Ministry through mobilizing people with key events and initiatives, both local and global, under the direction and in line with the vision of Vineyard Cincinnati. Primary responsibilities include: successfully execute and maximize participation in church-wide outreach events, promote key global partnerships and initiatives, proactively support a collaborative ministry approach with all Vineyard ministries, develop a volunteer team to fulfill these objectives and ensure the operational needs of the ministry are met, and to model the outward-focused lifestyle for others.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful Event Execution

  • Establish and follow a clear project management process for each event, including management of timeline, budgets, marketing/communications, and collaboration with other teams/key leaders.
  • Recruit and manage volunteer serving teams for each event, with clear role descriptions and expectations for before, during, and after each event.
  • Update and maintain outreach events calendar, communications, processes and budgets.
  • Ensure adequate timing for pre- and post-event planning and feedback.
  • Being present at local events as required by the Director.

Recruitment, Care and Support of Volunteer Teams 

  • Plan and execute next steps strategy.
  • Coordinate communication of short term mission teams, and work with STM leaders to determine trip logistics and activities, as well as track participant funding.
  • Support the Director in creating and maintaining systems that mobilize people from weekend services into outreach activity, and then on to an evangelistic lifestyle.
  • Collaborate with the ministry team to identify problems/bottlenecks and bring solutions.

Communication & Coordination

  • Partner with other ministries to create/maintain updated ministry information in all appropriate venues.
  • Catalog outreach stories and disseminate for use in various venues.
  • Exhibit a customer-service attitude and respond within 24 hours (office hours) to voicemails, phone calls, and requests for information on behalf of the ministry.

Ministry Team Collaboration

  • Support the Director in managing & executing local and global outreach partnerships.
  • Work proactively with fellow members of the Outreach team to offer a seamless, collaborative approach to ministry, training, and volunteer mobilization.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and development opportunities as scheduled and/or requested.

Management of Supplies and Vendor Relations

  • Work with vendors to negotiate best prices and products in collaboration with Sr. Director of Purchasing, purchase and coordinate delivery of supplies.
  • Keep supply area clean and stocked, ready for service.

Records, Reports, Systems

  • Proactively develop and maintain systems, processes and forms for maximum productivity.
  • Work with IT in utilization and improvement of the database system to benefit the ministry.
  • Maintain vendor and partner organization information to support working relationships.
  • Proactively meet all reporting requirements.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Education: Minimum Associate’s Degree in Ministry, Social Services preferred
  • Required Experience: 1 year minimum in volunteer leadership and project management

TASKS

  • Keep records or prepare reports for owner or management concerning visits with clients.
  • Provide information or refer individuals to public or private agencies or community services for assistance.
  • Visit individuals in homes or attend group meetings to provide information on agency services, requirements, or procedures.
  • Interview individuals or family members to compile information on social, educational, criminal, institutional, or drug history.
