About Patient Care Assistant

What does a Patient Care Assistant do?

Functioning as Patient Care Assistants, we are responsible for supporting the health care professionals and nurses in their operational work. We participate in the admission process of patients and oversee their room set up and cleanliness. We are responsible for treating the patient with open arms on arrival in the hospital. As Patient Care Assistants, we need to assure that all the standard admission requirements are completed before the patient admits to the medical center or hospital. We also perform daily roundups to check for glucose meters of the patient.

Core tasks:

  • doing basic medical checkups
  • assisting patients with their normal care needs
  • examining the health of patients daily
  • guiding the patients about the proper intake of medicines
