What does a PCB Designer do?

As PCB designers (printed circuit board designers), we design and create printed circuit boards. We produce schematic, assembly, and fabrication drawings using computer-aided drafting (CAD). We draft models for regular and dense, high-speed, multi-layer boards as a printed circuit board designer. We assist engineers in identifying and correcting mechanical design flaws. For assimilation, we create design documents and requirements specifications for assigned projects.

Core tasks:

  • assisting in the creation and design of printed circuit boards (PCB)
