It’s a hands on learning environment so if you are new to optometry related retail, don’t be discouraged! I had under 1 year experience in the field and was hired.

Holiday bonus, Flexible, able to still make your hourly wage + Commission
Lunch is unpaid, commission gets difficult at times during certain times of the months

This is a great company to work for if you like the office/retail business.
They have an effective environment for patients who are coming from the doctors office with a prescription to be filled for eyeglasses.
The eyeglass frame options are usually very competitive considering they have a Luxottica foundation. As far as I know these offices are now owned privately within a franchise.
Pros and Cons
Flexible working schedule for those with small children
Unless you are hired full time at this location hours may fluctuate.

When I started at Pearle I had no Optical experience whatsoever. It taught me many things. I went to work at a Private Optometrist where I learned more. Taught me how to buy frames keep the inventory stocked and worked in the lab.
Pros and Cons
Awesome place to have had a job.
I actually had no cons other than working on Christmas Eve.
